Delivery & Refund information

If you make a purchase and delivery charges don’t look right please get in touch by email: handmadeorganicceramics@gmail.co.uk. I think I have all online prices correct but I’m human, and might have missed something.

Packaging

Where possible I reuse and recycle packaging to help the environment and to keep your postage and packaging costs minimal. I do use bubblewrap – but it will be recycled and I encourage you to reuse any/all packaging you can. If your order is gift wrapped I do my best to avoid using selotape, prefering to tie with string (which I don’t knot so you can reuse it).

Postage & Packaging prices are calculated at the point of Checkout – if it doesn’t appear correct please get in touch.

Postage & Packaging costs are based on weight of total parcel – if I can reduce the cost for you I will refund the difference. I want the P&P to be fair – I don’t make a profit out of this, nor do I charge extra for my time wrapping, and arranging for parcels to be collected/delivered.

Current Postage & Packaging (as at March 2022)

  • Small items, up to 1kg in total weight £6.95
  • Large packages from 1-5kg £12.95
  • Large/bulky orders over 5kg £16.95.

There has been a price increase in March 2022 to the P&P costs as I can no longer absorb the higher prices the courier company are charging me.

Collection arrangements

If you are collecting your order I’ll be in touch to arrange a day/time that’s convenient. Please allow a couple of days for me to respond to your order, although I usually do respond within 24hours.

I offer local pick up, or free local delivery (Glossop/Hadfield area – mostly SK13 postcodes) though I occasionally travel to Hayfield so can sometimes deliver over that way. Delivery further than walking distance from my studio during a COVID lockdown would not be possible.

Despatch & refunds on breakages

All orders are usually dispatched within 3 working days via Hermes UK and are carefully packaged to prevent breakage.

Any items arriving damaged must be notified to me immediately on receipt (and no more than 24 hours from time of delivery) with photographs of the damaged item and damaged packaging. The courier I use has tracking so I can check when items have been received. Notice of damaged goods must be in writing, by email and be accompanied by photographs with your first email. Without this I cannot make a claim against the courier. Thankfully this happens rarely. I will of course do my best to get a replacement item to you but as my products are all handmade and unique pieces this may not always be possible. Return of broken items is required to secure a refund or a replacement and must be received by me within 14 days of your notice to me. You are responsible for returning items to me in the best possible condition as I may be able to repair or sell items as damaged/seconds where there is minimal damage. P&P on damaged items returned would be at your cost.
