Made from a course raku clay the raw outer surface is left unglazed to highlight the incredible texture of that clay. Inside is glazed in a rich turquoise with black underneath on the rim. This causes a reaction in the glazes as the black pushes through the turquoise.
PLEASE NOTE that this bowl is for dry goods only. Due to the course nature of the clay and the content of large particles it means that the clay does not fuse completely. Liquids would seep through the inevitable gaps in the glaze and the clay. This renders this particular bowl only suitable for dry foods.

To preserve the beautiful glaze we advise handwashing items only. Glaze is food safe. Exterior of this piece is partially glazed, base is unglazed – we recommend protecting delicate surfaces this item is placed on.
