Pottery Workshop

A 2 hour workshop full of mindful creativeness with clay.

Perfect present for self-care (bring a friend), or Birthdays, Christmas gifts, a Family Social event or Mother’s Day Gift

We’ll be hand building two items, and adding texture & decoration with natural tools. If you’ve attended a previous workshop we can continue our clay journey developing on what you have already created.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and will include an overview of the process from lump of clay to the finished product. Instruction in how to create a pot, clay for the finished product, and separate clay to practice textures and to get a feel for handling the clay are included as well as all kiln firing and glazing. I will glaze your pots with one colour to the inside of the piece only so we don’t lose your beautiful texture on the exterior of the piece.

I want you to have pots that you can use, so we will be working with a clay that needs to be fired and glazed, rather than air-drying clay which isn’t functional. Work will be ready to collect 6-8 weeks after the workshop (often much sooner but it depends on other work and kiln scheduling) from me in Glossop, or can be sent out – P&P charged at cost.
